I got the metaphor (for the most part) before reading your comment :)

I noticed that the art at first is kind of blocky and messy,h and after the baby is born, he is clean and smooth. Is that the idea of life being so hard by the time you die, with mounted embarassments, shames, and worries, and getting a clean slate when we're born?

I think you should do more to make the characters look more different from eachother, i had a hard time telling who was who if they weren't talking. Try using something like a different eye color, facial shape, or something on their clothign that would make them more identifyable (i know that defeats the purpose of a uniform, but y'know.)
